Current work includes the analysis of plant-invasion processes along environmental and transport gradients and the use of spatially explicit modelling to explore long-term management options. This research builds on field observations, geospatial data and stakeholder-informed approaches developed across my doctoral work.

Municipal Invasive Flora Strategy · Colmenar

For Hub-Terra, I led the technical development and principal execution of a municipal strategy for the detection, prioritisation and management of invasive alien flora in Colmenar (Málaga).

The work integrated field surveys, geospatial analysis and spatial modelling with operational prioritisation, species-specific management guidance and stakeholder engagement. I also facilitated the final technical workshop, translating the evidence base into practical municipal management priorities.

Caribbean Wetland Governance & Planning

Through Hub-Terra, I held a lead technical role in two international consultancy assignments related to wetland governance and planning across Antigua and Barbuda, Belize, Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Grenada, Jamaica, Saint Lucia and Suriname.

The work included comparative institutional assessment, review and development of planning instruments, governance and capacity analysis, indicators and monitoring frameworks, implementation roadmaps, and consultation and validation processes with national counterparts.

The assignments connected environmental evidence with institutional and policy analysis to support practical implementation of integrated coastal and wetland-management priorities.

Spatial Modelling for Nature Restoration Planning

At Tragsatec, I was responsible for the methodological development and technical execution of the spatial-modelling component linked to nature-restoration planning.

I developed reproducible workflows for data preparation and predictor generation, zonal and azonal modelling approaches, validation, spatial-bias control, ecological and cartographic consistency checks, scripts, documentation and spatial outputs.

The work supported evidence-based planning for terrestrial habitats and species within the broader national restoration framework.

Ecosystem Services Assessment · LIFE LYNXCONNECT

For Hub-Terra, I was lead author of the ecosystem-services assessment developed for LIFE LYNXCONNECT for the Regional Government of Andalusia.

The work applied MAES/CICES framing to organise ecosystem-service evidence, indicators and management implications, and incorporated recommendations for post-LIFE monitoring and evaluation. The assignment connected ecological evidence with a structured assessment framework designed to support conservation planning and project evaluation.
